Thanks once again to all who were able to listen live, but for those who missed it – here’s the stream, download & track list. As per usual, this week’s show is packed with heavy bass & lots of energy so hold on tight & enjoy!
Apologies for the delay in the posting of this archive in the usual blogs and forums, it’s been an absolutely frantic two weeks.
This show, though, was a highly enjoyable affair. Chinese Laundry favourites, Broken Stylus – Ryza & Def Tonez in some circles – brought forth two hours of fun-filled breaks and drum ‘n’ bass.
Hey, all of you breaks fiends! My (Phylo’s) birthday is coming up this weekend I thought it was time for a little pre-b-day 2 hour bash. This is past Monday’s mix of funk, breaks, house and classic DnB (why not?). Be sure to tune in next week for a special “Breaks From Crates” edition of the State of Breaks with guest Substance. A two hour all vinyl tag team set.
Thanks for tuning in last night, we hope you enjoyed the show. Hubie Sounds 032 is now available to download from the NSB Radio archives, just click the link below…

I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend. We here at Hubie Sounds have been basking in a weekend of classic breaks, care of the always excellent TCR BBQ at the Lockside Lounge here in London. This annual beatdown has become an essential event for breaks heads over the years and 2011′s BBQ was no exception, with beats both classic and nu-skool thrown down by breakbeat luminaries such as Jay Cunning, High Eight, Atomic Hooligan, Diverted and of course the founder of TCR and godfather of breaks himself, Mr Rennie Pilgrem.
As I’m sure most of you will know, TCR (or Thursday Club Recordings) is the daddy of all breakbeat labels, and to celebrate last Saturday’s sweatbox of a breakbeat barbie, we’re going to be spinning a selection of our favourite TCR releases this Tuesday night. If you’re a fan of classic breakbeat you won’t want to miss this!
The Hubie Sounds TCR Special – Tuesday 12th July @ 9pm UK time – live and direct on NSB Radio!
